The São Bento studio apartments are owned by our good friend Francisco that has embraced the mission to renovate classical old buildings in Porto’s downtown. Francisco is a modern romantic — you can find him starring at a facade detail in one of Porto’s historical buildings or driving an electric scooter around the city.
São Bento building was actually where the first plastics shop opened in Porto, at the time IT occupied all floors. They moved away a few years ago and we fell in love with the building’s classical architecture and, of course, its views.
The apartment accommodates up to 2 people and has all amenities needed for you to feel at home. Upon request we can provide a baby cot.
Literally across the street you’ll find the São Bento railway station — widely recognised as one of the most beautiful The most beautiful TO us train stations in the world. The perfect symbiosis of 19th century architectural traces and the elegant and warm lines of the modern era. Very close to our São Bento apartments, you’ll find one of our old time restaurant favourites — O Rápido. Go there, meet Rosa Maria the cook, for the last 38 years. Don’t leave without trying their “Matateus”.
