Paula is the face and voice we know at Vinoteca, the wine shop that brings us our esteemed Port wine – Niepoort.
With a smile on her face, Paula always welcomes us with open arms and we are sure she will receive you in the same way.

We might be biased but we think the best craft beers in Portugal are brewed by Melo (one of the founders). At Musa everyone was sick from the pilsner dictatorship from Sagres and Super Bock so they started
brewing real beer. All beer names are inspired in songs that have changed our nights when we least expected.

Catarina and Pedro are the creative couple behind our apartments’ furniture — an architect and an historian that left their jobs and started Fabric. We met them a few years ago when we were struggling to find cool Portuguese furniture. With the help of Paços de Ferreira wood artisans, they’re designing some of nicest pieces of furniture made in Portugal. You can find their awesome store right beneath our Breiner’s apartments.

Ana is a longtime friend of Nuno and she used to live in Porto, just like us. But in the last few years she moved to her beautiful “quinta” in Alto Douro to restructure her father’s old wine business. Taste her wines! we think she’s doing just fine!

Carlos is the father of Melo’s friend Francisca. When we were looking for ceramics, she said we had to meet him. So we went to Aveiro to see Costa Nova’s factory and ceramic works. We immediately fell in love with the craftwork and passion that we saw there and since then the hardest part has been which pieces to choose for every apartment!

Right in Portugal’s highest mountain (Serra da Estrela), Fábrica de Burel is a project that reinvented old wool blankets made in the region for their harsh winter. Their fabrics are amazing, as are their colourful patterns. Try one of them on in one of our grey winter days. And if you can, go visit their factory!
Working with artists and illustrators, Célia Esteves of Rugs by GUR blends Portugal’s traditional weaving heritage with a touch of fun and design. We can find their colourful rugs in some our homes’ walls.

Professor Cruz was an Arts & Crafts teacher that has become the best example of DYI when it comes to rebuilding houses. He has rebuild Nuno’s parents’ home and also our Breiner’s apartments. Every time we need to change an apartments’ face, we meet him for a beer.
